Why do people argue with you even when I have facts to point out my validity?

There were people arguing with me as if I was telling them facts that were fabricated when they could have googled some of this stuff I tell them and realize I am actually giving them useful advice. There is this one particular woman who argues with me every time. I give her direct facts and articles and she completely ignores them and takes someone elses OPINIONS into account more than my actual scientific data? This person gets infuriated when I give her these facts as if I should never be right about anything. I almost want to strangle her at this point. Someone tell me how to deal with this person.
