What sort of job for this character - please help?

So, I'm writing a short story...and I'm stuck on a job for one of the more peripheral characters. He went to Colombia University, and graduated in the early nineties (not sure what year, as I don’t know what he took there!). He’s not a very nice character, so I’m not looking for any Humanitarian jobs. He’s not a “socialiser”, either – he doesn’t like being around people he doesn't know very well, he doesn’t get on with them great. But he's not like a social moron or anything. Does anyone have any ideas for what he could do? He makes a good living out of it. Thank you very, very much.
